New memorial for the anniversary of Aionia

Asteri. Today the long-awaited ceremony for the inauguration of the new memorial takes place in the beautiful center of Asteri. Thousands of Aionios from all over Aionia have gathered in the capital for this very special event. The square of the new memorial is located in the middle of Asteri's historic market square that is decorated in Aionia's colors to commemorate the unique ceremony. Also, every Aionios shows themselves today in the colors of the flag, light blue, yellow, red and green and bring gifts for the Gods and Goddesses to lay in front of the memorial. 

The monument is a 200 meter high altar which is dedicated solely to the four gods and goddesses. It’s incredible height creates a spiritual connection with them and serves as a place of gathering, prayer and sacrifice. The altar was built stone by stone over decades by hard-working Aionios. Only the highest quality stones from the local quarry have been used and decorated with the most remarkable engravings of the Gods and Goddesses. 

The high priest takes the special day of the anniversary of the creation of Aionia as the occasion for this solemn gathering. As is customary in Aionia, virgins are offered as sacrifices for the holy blessing of the memorial. Alongside the sacrificial ceremony, the high priest sends out prayers and blesses all Aionios. Today is therefore very important for the life of every Aionios and represents a high point in their spiritual life. This memorable day will go down in history and from now on will be a recurring holiday for all Aionios.
